So...My Life is...

Interesting to say the least. SYATP was amazing!!! We had about 70 people there and they were just awesome! I remember all the times I would hear a singer or speaker tell us how much they loved us and were thankful for us and always thought that's insane...you don't even know us! But then I led SYATP and realized that it's possible! I walked away from that so happy that all those people were there and loved them for being there. I remember at one point we broke up into small groups and I was with 3 other girls that until that moment 2 of them I had never even met and said that they were just awesome and amazing. It was weird ot me and then it was like well because they are here praisng God and standing with us they are awesome and amazing!! So now I understand a little more!

Yesterday I got to go over to my NGSTRONG VP's house and spend the day there. It's funny cuz she's Indian and I'm clearly white! We made jokes about it all day long because it's fun to do that! I mean I met her other 4 cousins and her little brother and suddenly I was 1/ 2 Indian now! So much fun...of course the only thing I knew about Indians until that day was what I had seen in Bend it Like Beckham!!

Tonight is Homecoming...my last one ever in high school!!! I'm not going to the dance, only because I don't have guts around my dad yet. Because of that I'm about ot take the chance i have and sit down and really try and talk to him because he has to know and I have to let him know before I leave and leave room for bitterness. So be praying for strength and the right words that will not tear rifts, but heal the ones already created on both sides.

All in all God has just been amazing and totally faithful! He's blessed me in so many ways and I can now see things that had to happen to bring me to this point. Without many of those hardships I would not be able to lead this group of amazing poeple and I wouldn't be able to be there for those that need me. I'm so thankful now for all the times that hurt and that made me grow in God!! He's amazing and is so worthy of my praise!!

Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone...and being Blessed for it!

Really if you had told me even 2 months ago that I would be doing what I'm doing...I would have looked at you funny! I mean really now I'm leading a group of about 45 people and seeing Gid bless not just me but those who are helping me as well. I mean God has been so faithful...I've gotten all of my homework done on time and haven't been up all hours of the night!

Things have gotten done and people are really interested in helping out and being involved. Tomorrow is See You at the Pole. Today we talked about making the decision to take that stand and show up and be there. It's your decision...no one else can make it for you.

Thursday (maybe tomorrow) I will post a blog about SYATP. It's going to be awesome because it's all for God!!

Revolve Tour

I just got home yesterday from the Revolve Tour Weekend!! My friend texted me during 2nd period and told me that the group (her youth group) she was going with had an extra ticket. When I got home I asked if I could go and my parents held nothing back in saying yes! So I got to go for the first time in my life!! It was so amazing.

I have now fallen in love with Group 1 Crew and Krystal Meyers and of course just become more enthralled by Natalie Grant!! They are amazing people! We heard from Jenna Lucado (Max Lucado's daughter if you couldn't tell) and she is just amazing!! Really I mean now I can actually answer the question we had for a blog in Creative Writing (that i just left blank) If you could talk to anyone who would it be? Now I know...Jenna! I got Natalie Grant's autograph and Hawk Nelson's too...although I think I was the only girl in line not freaking out about how hot they are...I never have thought so I'm strange like that!

They talked about All Access and it just reminded me that this high I'm on can't last forever. But then it reminded me that when I fall, I don't have to go far or even move at all, I just have to keep my heart open and prepared for the next part of life that God has planned for me!! I'm so loving the things God is doing in my life...but look forward to the next level...which I know means some hurt and some stretching...so be praying that when it comes I will be ready to face it with open arms and know that in the end it will be way better than even now!!

Alright well it's time to go to church so I need to close this out! I want to encourage you though about Wednesday morning. For those of you who don't know that day is See You at the Pole. If you are a parent or teacher or friend or just a Christian who might not be in school anymore...you CAN go!! It is legal for you to be there with the students as they pray. However you can't really say anything because this has to be student led...but be there as an encourager. You can pray over students and for them, you can encourage them, you can change the world by changing them because you put value on their life. So please find out when the nearest school will be starting it or find out when a school of a student in your youth group will begin. Please get involved...I'm asking as a student, a teen, and president of a Christian club to please make a difference in our lives so we can impact others. Don't count yourself out. One of my best friends is 6 years older than me. She has encouraged me so much and helped me get through so many things. She made a difference in my life because she placed value on mine and now I am able to place value on others and change their lives all because of one person that cared enough to say "I am here for you" Make the difference, be the one, take the stand, place value, love a teen enough to be there when they need you most because all teens are hurting, but one person can help them heal. One person with the love of God in them enough to say "I know a better way!"

Sick as a Dog

No I'm not sick...but my dog was. I've had her for 1 1/2 years and she has never been super sick and ashe never wakes me up in the middle of the night, she's just great! But last night she got sick!! And she got sick 6 times! I was up at 12:44, 1:22, 3:26, and 5:52 cleaning up and making sure she was ok. Plus there were people outside doing something and at one point someone yelled at someone else for something. To put it simply I'm and sleepy!!! I felt bad for Sasha though she was so scared I was going to be mad at her. But I got it all cleaned up and she's feeling better and she knows I still love her!

In other news I got my Mac!! My dad got everything up and running last night so I'm using it now! I'm excited and am so glad to be using it!!

I talked to my Euro teacher the other day as well. According to her I'm doing fine and she says I'm doing great for taking a year off of Ap classes. She's pleased with where I'm at and says that my test grades will improve with practice. She reminded me that the last hard test I took was my SAT at the beginning of the summer. Basically according to her I have nothing to worry about, of course for me I like having good grades so it's hard to comprehend that failing is doing well. So things will get better and I will have that B maybe even an A before I graduate...and that is a promise!!

Also you might notice my graduation counter to the right of the blog. It's getting closer, but I'm not ready for it yet...I'm actually enjoying my senior year which people say is the only thing that really matters!

Well I'm tired and am going ot take a 1 hour nap so I will ttyl! I'll post more in the next week got lots to talk about NGSTRONG and with See You at the Pole coming the blogs will get longer!

I'm so Mad Right Now!!!

I don't get it...really I don't!! I have done every homework assignment and studied for my test and yet I'm STILL failing!!! How is that possible?! I wanted this year to be different. I wanted this year to be one that I could crack that B or maybe even an A in my Ap class. I never did that in World History and when my teacher asked me to be in this class I saw my chance to redeem myself. And yet I'm still failing test and quizzes so I'm failing the class! UGH!! I want so bad to do well in her class, and this is how I start the year?! So yeah I'm upset and mad at myself and not feeling so great...so I'm going to go and read for some more pointless Euro hw!!

Full Swing!!

So I'm coming up on the end of the second week of school. Or as the guys in my European History class would say...my last second week of school. The year has been interesting so far to say the least. My favorite classes are European History (don't tell my teacher I said that), Psychology, Creative Writing, Accounting, and Office Aide!! I'm not so fond of Government mostly because I have it 1st period. I've never had a first period in high school before. The last three years I've had basketball in the morning and had that hour and 1/2 to actually wake up before having to do book work. I don't really get that this year! European History has been fun...I really do enjoy it and my teacher is amazing. She was my World History teacher and each person in the classes was asked by her to join. It's an Ap class so it's harder than the rest of mine but it's good for me to stay on my toes a little bit...hold off the senioritis!

NGSTRONG got it's start this week with officer meetings. I have been at school the last 3 days until at LEAST 3:15. But sometimes we don't leave 'til after 4. Once we actually get going next week it will get easier. Right now it's just figuring out what we want to do, how we want to do it, and trying to get people to join. As a praise we are already up to six people!! God is so awesome and has just been outpouring His joy through me even after being up there that long!

Also on another exciting note...I'm getting a Mac finally!! It's a desektop not a laptop which will be a transistion...no more typing blogs on the couch :( but this one is old and it's time to update and I'll have acess to iMovie and Garage Band and be able to do all the amazing things I learned this summer!! I'm super excited about this!! And so very thankful to the guy who is giving it to my dad...otherwise I wouldn't have it coming my way!! And thankful to my dad who has been willing to give it to me instead of keeping it for himself!

Well that's really it! This have been kinda crazy with all that's going on, but God's been really just pouring out his love and kindness and joy. And he's taken away my fear! I actually talked on the phone for 30 mins with 2 friends on the same day!! And had no anxieties about it at all...I actually really enjoyed being able to talk to them! He's given me so much confidence about myself and everything...I'm just really enjoying the things he's doing in my life!

Well that's about it for today! I'll put up another blog after our first meeting next week! Thanks to all of you for keeping up with my life lol!
