So I'm finally finding time to write a new blog!! For once all my NGSTRONG stuff is done for tomorrow and I have no homework to do!!!
So some exciting things have been happening lately. We had our NGSTRONG party on Saturday where we literally dubed the officers! We had fun doing it too! I had 3 marriage propsals all of which I had to turn down. Sad part is two of them were girls! I love these guys, really I do, but not like that :) We had crowns and everything that my VP put on them after I dubed them. One of our sponsors dubed me president, which because of a comment I made when a girl asked who would dub me I responded "God", he came up an exclaimed "Well I'm not God, though some have made this mistake of thinking so, not not really." You know we take our faith and beliefs seriuosly, but we also have lots of fun because we only have one life, why not enjoy it now?!
After the party my sister, my VP and I went shopping. We went to Mardel where my VP and I hung out in the books and talked and read funny books like Things You Can't Ask Your Mama About Sex to which the cover featured questions like "What does God things about ---- stars?" the other word was literally scratched out and we had a good laugh about the poor messed up kid who might acutally ask that worried that they might come away thinking the stars they are thinking of might be good and pretty. What a world we live in.
Tomorrow in NGSTRONG we are going to take a day and just pray about things going on in our life. I know that sometimes taking that first step to healing or asking God forgiveness can be super hard, so I want to give them that chance to take the first step to a journey that will change their life. It changed mine! Hopefully they will get something out of it and can come away feeling like God really can do something in their life.
For those who haven't noticed, I'm graudate in less than 230 days!! I find it funny that all summer I whined and complained about having another year of high school. I was mad at God for making me stay back a year in first grade, I was upset over quitting basketball, not making the things I tried out for, and all of my teachers leaving. Of course God knew the whole time that there was a reaon. And through it all I now have a group of 45 kids that I get to lead!! Now I'm so enjoying my senior year the thought of it ever ending it so very sad!! Knowing that when I leave I will no longer see my Vp as much...but I will not go without seeing her ever again (I think I would become depressed over losing such an amazing friend!) So now I am patiently waiting for that countdown to get to 0...hoping it will go slower than so many claim it does!
Okay I think I'm done! That's my randomness for the time being!!

A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. The Lord redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him." - Psalm 34: 18-22

Finding My Way Down a Winding Road...
Ok well that's more just an interesting title because there are several things to talk about so the road is winding. First of a guy update...yeah I've still got it bad. Just thinking of his name and last Sunday make my stomach leap from it's resting place. I don't get it though...I don't get this way over guys. There's one guy that i've liked for eight years, but i guess at this point eight years without even being friends is just to long. I used to get this way over him, but I can't remember that last time I saw him and really just wanted to fall over...maybe as long as a year or two. I keep trying to find a way to convince my parents that we should go to my grands house to visit Sunday...but of course they know my underlying motive so it might not happen.
Ok well enough about that otherwise I'll start getting weird and smiling to much at my computer. NGSTRONG has a party coming up next Saturday! I'm excited about that!! It's going to be fun and hopefully I can meet some of these people that attend so that I can know them!!
Oh and I can't forget my funny story!! Yesterday I had Government first period like I do every 'B' day. My friend (also my VP) has some other history class (idk which...I think it's World...) right next to mine. Ususally we stand right between the two classes and talk for a little bit. Our school has this new thing that when we have 2 mins to get to class they play music for 1 min. (We used to just a bell that went choo choo like a train) On normal days we talk and then we the music comes on we either listen to it or continue talking. However once the music goes off we head into our respective classrooms. Well yesterday we never heard the music or anyone say the music was on. (my explantation is it never played) The bell rings and we give each other one last "OH SNAP" look and head off to class. I take two big steps to the room and then stop right before walking in like nothing had happened. No one noticed...and the attention wasn't really on me cuz like two other people walked in after me and half the class never showed up!! So I chose a good day to not listen to the music. Despite being late I managed to stay out of tardy rac and thus continue my record of 4 years without tardy rac...however if I keep this up I could blow it! From now on I'll listen more closely!!
So Tuesday I don't get to speak at NGSTRONG...but that's ok I passed it on to my VP for a week. I don't want to speak every week anyway so it's time for someone else to do it!! I know it'll be great and I look forward to listening for once instead of asking the questions! However the week after that I'm looking at speaking on Seeking God Through the Hurt...but really I don't know how to do it. I'm considering having it be that I read a verse or two tell a little story and then spend the rest of the time in prayer. If I do it that way I want it to be that they take about 5 mins by themselves in the room and just talk to God. Whether they pray about something that hurts or they ask him to revel himself to them or they just take time to listen to God speak to thier lives...I want them to have a chance to cry out to God if they need to. Then I thought about having them find a friend or a couple of friends and praying together and for each other. It's kind hard to explain...it's in my head but I really don't know. So for those of you reading...let me know what you think. DO you think they will benefit if taken seriously? Do you think it could be the first step in healing for even just one person? Should I go with it or maybe find something else? I don't know God's just really laid it on my heart that these people are hurting...and I'm no exception...and they need a chance to encounter God and his healing power. But I'm not sure how to present that power to them except through prayer. So let me know...either leave me a comment or email me or something just let me know please (said so innocently).

So There's This Guy...
That makes my heart beat 1 million times a second (well if that was humanly possible)!!
Ok I know strange beginning since my last blog was like 2 weeks ago (sorry btw, been kinda busy). But really I must tell you about this guy...and my new promise. So he lives across the street from my grandparents. I met him 2 or 3 years ago when they first moved in (we just happened to be visiting my grands) We were both in high school (can't remember if I was in 9th or 10th grade) and it was dark but what I saw made my heart beat faster. Every time we went to my grands house I wanted to see him. I wanted my sister to go ask if his sister (who is her age) could come out and maybe he would answer the door or come out with her. I've seen him every once in a while, but I've only seen him like 3 or 4 times. Everytime I go to my grands house I will look across the street and wonder...what is he doing? Does he have a girlfriend? Is he growing in his faith? Will he ever notice me? Yeah the typical infatuation questions every girl asks herself!
So okay fast forward. I just finished a book called Guys Like Girls Who... and loved it! It really made me realize that hiding is not something I need to do. In fact upon reading this book I have worn make-up almost every day since last Sunday (with the exception of last Saturday and yesterday cuz we didn't go any where til later) So I'm finding my confidence and my indentity in God and just growing which is totally awesome! I also determine (and this is my new promise) that right now it's important that I focus on being friends with guys. I've never had good solid relationships with guys and don't really know how to treat them, how to talk to them, how to be friends with them...so I need to learn. I need to learn that before I try to enter the dating scene (again...)
Alright so Sunday we went to m grands house. I convinced my sister to go ask if this guys sister could come join us outside. So we go up to the door and my mind is racing my heart is beating...and then it happened...he came out the door!!! I think for a second my heart stopped! I was just amazed at how cute he had gotten...and he fit each one of my physical features list (which is acutally quite short cuz I'm not super picky bout that) He's going to Christ for the Nations near his house and was home for a few hours to go to church with his family and visit and such. His sister wasn't home but he came out and talked for a sec. This was the point when I just about fell over...he remembered what grade I was in!!!!!! Ok now if a guy is reading this (which I'm not sure many do) if you remember anything about a girl, well not anything, but things like her age, her birthday, her favorite color...things like that you've got it made!
So yeah I've got a super bad case of infatuation, but I have yet to establish one friendship with a guy so I can't date him. I won't talk to him much because he only comes home on Sunday and who knows when we will go to my grands house again yet if I could be friends with him and get to know him OMg that would be amazing!! Well anyway just needed to get that one out cuz not one of my friends knows about it...some of them will tomorrow but until then you guys keep it on the DL...it's not going anywhere so it doesn't matter though!!
